This post is dedicated to my very best friend forever, Amanda Ake. Amanda has gotten me through some seriously tough times, including moving, deaths and everyday stress.

My family has known her family since before either of us were born so we have literally grown up together. Almost all of my childhood memories have her in them.

Amanda is awesome, she's hard working and points me back to the Cross when I get too stressed or upset. I am so extremely blessed to have her as my dear friend and Sister in Christ. Love ya Amanda!

Day 13: A childhood memory

Some would argue that I am still a child.... :)

 One of my favoritist and most cherished memories is of Mitchel and I playing together. We had this staircase, with a balcony overlooking it. So we would take all my thousands of stuffed animals, tie some string around their necks and fling them over the edge. We would then continue to "rescue" the "poor endangered animals." I swear we must have spent half of my childhood playing that game. It was so much fun.

Spring has sprung!

I went outside today and I noticed something very familiar in the air. It smelled like Spring! Hurrah! So to celebrate this momentous occasion, here are some pictures of this really cool candy I found...

I thought that was really neat! It was an actual chicken egg that they painted. If you live in the Nashville/Brentwood area you can get them at The Fresh Market for around five bucks.

Sorry everyone. I have been trying to do the blog challenge, but it is so "stifling to the imagination!" I will finish it up if it kills me, but I will not be only posting that. They are so short and boring and I would rather talk about something more interesting and fun. Sooo... Here goes nothing!

Day twelve. How I found blog spot and why I started a blog.

I found blog-spot through my older sister. She started a family blog a while back. I decided that I thought it would be fun if I started one. So I did... :)

Day eleven. Another picture of me and friends.

     This is Dee Parker, Sarah Parker, and Diana Parker! We are not related (as far as we know) but we are some of the greatest friends imaginable. We have done so much with each other! Whether it was jumping on the trampoline at 11:30 at night and then freaking out because we think there is someone in the woods, or staying up 'til 3 in the morning just to talk. These girls and their family are some of the sweetest people I know. <3 y'all!

Day ten. Songs you listen to when you are happy, sad, bored, hyped and angry.

Happy-- Hey Soul Sister
Sad-- Hallelujah
Bored-- (I don't get bored)
Hyped-- I don't know!
Angry-- I don't know!

This post isn't fair. I don't really have any favorite songs for any particular moment. It really depends... I am so tired of this 30 day thing. But I will finish it!

Day nine. Something your proud of in the past few days.

So I looked up the definition of pride, and this is what I came up with.

-A feeling of self-respect and personal worth

-A high or inordinate opinion of one's own dignity, importance, merit, or superiority, whether as cherished in the mind or as displayed in bearing, conduct, etc.

-A becoming or dignified sense of what is due to oneself or one's position or character; self-respect; self-esteem.

Yikes! These all seem like pretty self-centered definitions to me! :-o Trust me, I am already plenty selfish without having to spend an entire blog post on it. So, instead of spending this post on something I am proud of, I am going to spend it on something I have been blessed with!

1. My mom. If I had to use just one phrase to describe my mother with, it would have to be, "practically perfect in every way." I love you mom!

2. My cat. Being able to confide everything in him and knowing that he won't tell is a great blessing. ;)

3. My sweet cousin Anna. Her prayers and encouragement have gotten me through several tough times recently. Thanks Anna!

4. And most of all, God's tremendous grace. "His mercies are renewed every morning!"

Day eight. Short term goals for this month and why.

Right now I am just trying to get through the month. No joke. I have a midterm due tonight, so goodbye.

Day seven. A picture of someone/something that has a big impact on me.

Oh yeah baby! Cupcakes! If cupcakes are cute and happy, they make me happy. If they are ugly and taste bad, I get mad too. I have several inside jokes with them, so every time they are mentioned I smile.  I associate them with different memories I have made. Don't you judge me. :)

Day six. Favorite super hero and why.

I must admit that I have never given a lot of thought to this question. It would probably be Iron Man. I mean, he is just so cool! I want a suit that can fit in a briefcase! And he can fly! I like him the best because he uses his brains, not his "super powers."

Day five. A picture of somewhere I have been.

This is a picture of a cabin I stayed in in Gatlinburg TN. We were at a conference for a week. I have been to more exciting places than this, I just don't have any pictures!

Day four. The last movie I watched

OK OK, I know I haven't been super faithful at this daily posting thing, so I will double up until I catch back up!

The last movie I watched was Pride and Prejudice. I watched it yesterday while I was in bed with the flu.
I watched the Keira Knightly version, which, in my opinion, is by far the best one!

Day two. The meaning behind my blog name.

OK, well I tried to post last night, but for some reason it wouldn't let me. Oh well.

     I don't really have a hidden meaning in my blog name. I am inspired by this name and I can't really explain why. I think it would be best if everyone just came up with a hidden meaning for it, because I don't have one. :)
